Boil it for about 1- 2 hrs. Make sure it has enough liquid to help it boil fast enough. The chicken needs to be defrosted in the fridge first. If the chicken is frozen it takes longer to boil. You can always boil the chicken the day before, than just heat it up.

The crock pot/slow cooker is definitely a good way to go. Ordinarily, I wouldn't recommend marinading in a BBQ sauce. Generally, if I'm going to use a BBQ sauce, I'd be grilling my chicken brushed with a little oil, and then I'd add the BBQ sauce about 5-8 minutes before the chicken is finished cooking. You can't use the BBQ sauce if raw chicken has been sitting it it for hours. If baking, just bake at 350 deg. F. You can cover for a bit, then uncover to brown. Chicken should always be tender, but real "fall-off-the-bone" type chicken, is generally chicken cooked in liquid, more of a winter meal... like fricassee, or paprikash... and chick cooked in a sauce, either in a slow cooker, or Dutch oven on top of the stove.

Unfrozen they may take 1 to 1 1/2 hours to fall off bone. Frozen will be longer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Depends oon wheter it is started frozen or not. You can generally tell by testing with a fork after about an hour or so of boiling.
