Agnostic is a chicken Sh!+ Atheist, still better than being a delusional superstitionist. They just need to grow some cajones and get off the fence.

Since many atheists are also agnostic, of course.
An atheist is a person who does not believe in gods.
An agnostic is one who claims the fundamental basis of reality is unknowable.
Many people are both atheists and agnostic. Personally, I am atheist because I lack god beliefs, but don't claim to be agnostic because I have no idea if the fundamental basis for reality is knowable or not.
While Godel's/Chaitin's theorems tell us some things are unknowable. I don't see how we can determine absolutely that the fundamental basis for reality is one of these things.
Note that being agnostic has nothing to do with whether you believe in gods or not, it is something else entirely. It is about the nature of knowlege. Many many people have a misunderstanding about what agnosticism really is.

I think the line between agnostic and atheist is thin. An atheist applies occam's razor to the realization that proof cannot be provided for or against, while the agnostic withholds occam's razor.

I would say why sit on the fence-you'd be as well adopting weak atheism and saying I don't believe and I don't really care if there is a God or not. Agnosticism is open to the possibility that a God might exist whereas weak atheism makes it a non-issue, but you'll know which reflects your personal views.

The right question is; will they "respect" you?
"Scratch an Agnostic find a Christian."

Are they true friends if they quit liking you because of a personal decision about a personal "belief"?

I doubt your conversion will cause a problem. As it has been said before, there's never been a war fought in the name of Atheism due to lack of interest.
