I really have pain and I found if I take 15 Vicodin 10mg and a few shots of whiskey it works great. Also, sometimes I take like 5 muscle relaxers and some Motrin and I can't breath. My face gets swollen and my tongue gets huge. Also would you recommend I also take some valium cuz for some reason I can't sleep.

Ok, if we assume (and I know what that word means) you are legit, you have a very serious problem. You did not say what the APAP (Tylenol) content was of your Vicodin. If it is 500 mg per tablet you are ingesting 7500 mg of APAP per day. The normal toxic/overdose is app. 4,000. Even if the dosage is 325, you are still getting 5250 mg of APAP per day which is still way above the overdose level. Then if you are drinking whiskey, taking Motrin, and taking muscle relaxers you are on a one way road to 6 feet under. The swollen tongue and difficulty breathing sounds like an allergic reaction to me. NO!!! to the valium, you have an addiction/noncompliance problem already and adding that highly addictive drug would only add to your woes. Finally, not having a BM is secondary to ALL of the vicodin wihich causes constipation.

So to come to the conclusion of this soliloquy, you need to detox. If you can find a pain managment specialist there are medications out there to speed up the detoxing precess. Then restart treating the pain from square one. However, you would have to follow the directions and most pain specialists require you to sign a narcotic agreement. You break the agreement, you are out of luck with the drugs. I included some information from www.drugs.com on vicodin.

What is the most important information I should know about Vicodin?
• Hydrocodone is habit forming. It is possible become physically and/or psychologically dependent on the medication. Do not take more than the prescribed amount of medication or take it for longer than is directed by your doctor. Withdrawal effects may occur if Vicodin is stopped suddenly after several weeks of continuous use. Your doctor may recommend a gradual reduction in dose.
• Avoid alcohol while taking Vicodin. Alcohol can increase drowsiness and dizziness caused by the medication, possibly resulting in unconsciousness and death. Also, acetaminophen can be damaging to the liver when taken with alcohol.
• Vicodin may increase the effects of other drugs that cause drowsiness, including antidepressants, alcohol, antihistamines, pain relievers, anxiety medicines, seizure medicines, and muscle relaxants. Dangerous sedation, dizziness, or drowsiness may occur if Vicodin is taken with any of these medications. Tell your doctor about all medicines that you are taking, and do not take any medicine without first talking to your doctor.
• Vicodin may cause constipation. Drink plenty of water (six to eight full glasses a day) to lessen this side effect. Increased fiber in the diet may also help to alleviate constipation.

about 1/2 of all people that are prescribed narcotics for long term use become addicted. there is a physical and mental side to addiction. this is complicated because she probably has a need for the medicine or she most likely would not have been prescribed this. most addicted people are also hurting/sick mentally too. both sides must be treated. if you really care about this person , you should see about getting her into a rehab center. a family member went through an addiction to alcohol and oxycotin (years ago before the company addmitted that it withheld information about the addiction rate from the medical community/public.) your situation is complicated , if soemone needs a pain relief pill they should not be denied this. The cause of the pain should be treated if at all possible so whatever it is doesn't hurt. Also should be addressed is if her use of pills is truly addiction . If nothing hurt, would she have to take that many ? perhaps, this is only a case , that she has built up a tolerance to the medicine and needs a stronger pain drug so she can use let. vicodin is very hard on the stomach which would explain her puking. i would ask her / discuss the matter with her DR if needed. she has to be ready but intervention if a true addiction might save her life.

Um, where do I start. Number 1, do not take 15 ten mg vicodin and drink whiskey, unless of course you are trying to die. I don't know if you are for real, but I'm going to assume you are and give you some answers from my own experience. Vicodin is an opiate. Opiates are a central nervous system depressant. This means in large doses you can put yourself into a coma. Adding alcohol will intensify the effects of vicodin. You are taking way too many drugs and need to contact ONE of your doctors, let him know all the drugs you are taking and listen to his advice. All opiates cause constipation. This is why you haven't had a bowel movement in a month, although if it's been that long you are in severe trouble. What you have now is a blockage in your bowels and poisons are backing up into your system. You don't need any Valium.
What you need is to stop acting like an idiot and get to the doctor or a hospital ASAP. Please, if you are for real, get some help. SOON!!!

I'm surprised you are alive!!! What are you thinking? It sounds like you need to get some kind of physical therapy combined with appropriate pain management. All this should be closely monitored by a doctor. You are killing yourself.

You are having allergic reactions to the combination of muscle relaxers and Motrin.
Make a different choice. You are only hurting yourself. 150 mg of vicodin and whiskey is not pain management...It's an addiction.

Vicodin is not for long term pain. You need a different pain medication. You are killing your liver taking that much vicodin. You HAVE to take prescription medicine as it is prescribed. If it doesn't work you need to call a doctor and get a different medicine. Get some help before you cause unrepairable damage to your organs.

Maybe it's because you're taking too many pills and overdosing or mixing drugs you shouldn't be. Nobody should be taking 15 Vicodin pills.
The doctor that's giving you all these Vicodins needs to be examined himself!!!!

i think you need to start informing all of your doctors of what the other ones are prescribing. Sounds like you are just about to the point where you are going to overdose. I also have severe pain and have taken medication for years and yes the more you take the better you feel but what you are doing isn't healthy at all!!! After you take a certain medication for so long you start to develope a tolerance to it, and it will need to be adjusted. Taking that many muscle relaxers at one time can kill you, your lungs are a muscle and so is your heart....they will stop if you take too much!!! Make a list of all the meds you are on and which doctors give them to you and take them to every doctor appointment you have so everyone will know what and when they should give you meds!!!

Good Luck!!!!

It sounds like you need to stop taking them before you become addicted because your body has already developed a tolerance for them. You should only see on doctor and not 15 because they will never be able to find out what the problem is and how to fix it because all those medications will just create more problems 4 u. Sounds like you are having a allergic reaction 2 the other medicines.

I'm pretty sure you've built up a high tolerance to pain killers. If your serious about getting rid of your pain you need to go to your doctor and ask him to get you in to a pain program. You also have an allergy to one of the drugs you are taking. This question might be bogus, if it's not you need to get professional help for your pain and drug addiction before you end up dead.
