I know this teenages (18) who lives in korea and i have been talking to him for a while..He mentioned to me that he has a mental illness ( or an illness that effects him mentally). He said that the illness causes him to pay attantion to things we usually wouldn’t pay any attantion too...for example when we breathe...we breathe without thinking about it...but he cant do that...he said that he needs to recognize when to take a breathe and when to release it...he said he is having a problem with his every action in a mental way.
If anyone can help this would be greatly appreciatd as i want to help him very much...if you have any ideas or any way to help please give me some information or tell me what you know or think the problem may be...
Thankyou very much

I would suggest he get checked out for insulin overproduction. It may sound wacky, but insulin overproduction (hyperinsulinemia) can cause other chemical imbalances, which may result in obsessive compulsive disorders or other mental illnesses.

I believe this is Sensory Integration Dysfunction. It is a neurological disorder that causes people to have trouble with integrating information coming in from each of their five senses (like being aware of breathing.) Occupational therapy can help this condition which often leads to anxiety disorders. It often co-exists with ADHD. Read The Out of Sync Child for more information.

It sounds like he is extremely obsessive compulsive, if that is the case it can be treated with meds. But he needs to get to the doc and get a firm diagnosis.

i agree he should be checked thoroughly by a doctor, it could be a serious medical condition or a mind over matter, like anxiety, but a doctor is his best advice to have tests done, and if his family doctor won't do it, ask him to be refered to specialists
