I started college a month and a half ago and on the second day i feel like i fell in love with a girl named Pamela. I've finally had enough courage 2 go and sit close 2 her although not next 2 her. I talk 2 her sumtimes and i say hi also but she seems 2 have a closer relationship with another guy who happens 2 sit next 2 her and when i asked him about it the other day(at the same time told him i liked her) he said that there just friends and he would keep it in mind. That same day we had a test and while "keeping it in mind" he made me sit next 2 her but it seemed awkward. how do i just surpass that stage and be close enough 2 her so that it wont seem that awkward 4 the both of us?

Well, if you feel awkward, then you are probably acting awkward! Relax act natural! You have to do or say something that will break the ice between you two! It sounds like you are concentrating too much on the 'dating' 'relationship' 'crush' part of this encounter instead of being yourself and getting to know who she is and what she likes. I have a feeling that once you relax and take the stress off yourself, that things will fall into place and the 'awkwardness' will go away......good luck!!

You say you love her. OK? So what on earth would happen if you are not sitting next to her, you can still see her. Watch her and watch her watchin you. This reminds me of my own school days when i was facing similar situation. Although it did not materialise, i used to observe it tho' from a distance. Try out this way and it will not be embarrassing or awkward. But tell me is the fire on the other side as well? Try speakin out your feelings towards Pamela and the other guy may not succeed. Good luck!

Find something that you do that YOU are not awkward at and ask her along. You should know what you are doing and wont have to think too much and you may be able to teach her if she likes the activity.
Tennis, bowling,SCUBA,playing cards,.....whatever

you just have to do it, eventually real friendship, and possibly more, will take the place of the butterflies, and you cam move on from there.

you just need to loosen up and ask her out. if she says no then move on and if she says yes well there you go.

Talk to her more often. Don't know what else to tell you.
