After buying different brands of coffee and coffee pots the scum on top still is there. Its disgusting and I can not drink it so I dump it out.

All that is, is an oil film. All coffee's have oil in them.

It is oils that come from processing, there is a coffee shop here that uses organic non processed beans and there is no film on my coffee.

It must have something to do with your water. Try running white vinegar through your coffee pot to eliminate any lime deposits, rinse once with water before brewing a pot of coffee.

That's right. It's the natural oils that come from the beans.
