What happens to the cocaine confiscated by the coast guard? Is it destroyed or what?

It is placed into an evidence locker for possible use in court. After any court case a waiting period for any appeals. After that it is destroyed.

It's tagged as evidence and held until the trail is over then it's destroyed in an incinerator.
