You can get him fixed if he's not already. Plus they have enzyme cleaners at pet store to take away them marking smell to him. Also putting a big pillow in the chair so he can't fit could help.

First let me ask has he been fixed? That could be one reason if he hasnt. If he has well then clean the chair really good wet vac it or just get it out real good. Then there is this spray out that keeps cats and dogs off furniture use that spray to deter him from even going on the chair. I have heard that orange peels work good too but i have never tried that. I know with my cat the sray worked to keep him off the chairs so if it deters him from going on the chairs at all then he shouldnt jump up just to relieve himself. hope i have helped

I've just had the same problem and **finally** think I may have found a solution. We took our cat to the vet, followed all the suggestions, and she was still peeing in whatever soft spot she could find (my bed, the couch, a blanket on the floor, etc.). Just yesterday I had a flash of the obvious -- put something soft in her litterbox to pee on. I set up two litterboxes instead of one -- one with regular litter, and the other with a liner and folded newspapers on the bottom. Sure enough, both last night and this morning she peed on the newspapers like a champ. You may want to give that a shot, in case the problem is that your cat just wants a soft place to pee.

The cat has claimed your chair as his special area. If possible, put the chair in an area that is appropriate for his needs. Put a litter box in the seat. Soon he should come to associate the litterbox with his needs. Do not let him steal another chair.

Try Nature's Miracle to get rid of the odor. Put tin foil on the chair, cats don't like tin foil. You can buy cat repellent spray, but I don't find it works that great, at least the kind I got doesn't work good.

Try putting some orange peel on the chair, cats can't stand the smell of it, lemons work too, and he'll soon get the message!!
