Turduckens are sold all ready to cook. I have never cooked one because I don't care for the taste of duck, but I think you roast it in the oven just as you would a lone turkey. We have places around here that will cook it for you, either smoked or baked. When you buy the turducken there will be instructions on the packaging on how to cook it. I'm sure it is like regular turkey....15 minutes per pound at 350'F I would not stuff the bird as there is already so much in it...hahaha

If you check out the chefpaul.com site of Paul Prudhomme, you will find the recipe for the original creation. I believe they also sell one ready to cook and eat. I have never made one from scratch, as it involves deboning the duck and chicken from the inside, without cutting the skin. I had some once down in New Orleans, and aside from the novelty of it, I wasn't all that impressed. But there are those that rave about it, so who am I to say? Anyway, there are several sources that sell one pre-boned and arranged, the price runs around $75 for one. But given how fiddly it is to debone one bird, little alone two- if your mom is really keen to try it out, that's the route I'd suggest. Good luck!

I certainly have made Turduck, yet no longer Turducken. It develop into stunning. We had it for Thanksgiving a pair years in the past. it truly is on my to-do record nevertheless. I bear in mind John Madden continuously having it for Thanksgiving, at besides the fact that soccer activity he develop into working. it continuously appeared scrumptious & everybody looked as though it could take exhilaration in it.
