Well, not long ago I had dinner with a french lady who cooked food. Instead of serving the chicken in some fatty fat sauce she put strawberry jam on a small plate with a spoon and started to pile the jam on my chicken. I looked first but I though, why not? It was really really tasty and lifted up the chicken meat without going over the calories. Other ideas: I cook my own lasagna and I chose the lowest fat ingredients. I also like to bake some sweet potatoes, very nice. If you want a bit of tang and crunch, get a packet of rockets! They are absolutely tasty and roughly about 3 calories per packet. Another one, 0% fat yoghurt with some honey mixed into it, yummmy. Mind you I still like to pig out on some high fat goodies, but I'm trying (I had a large apple crumble at lunch today...).

Feta and Mozzerella cheeses are pretty low in sat fat in comparison to the others, but in general I think low fat variations of foods are not as tasty. Try pulses - baked beans, nuts, tuna and now scientists are saying eating walnuts after eating a full meal can reduce your colestrol

Grilled fresh fish with grilled vegetables. Whole wheat spaghetti with ground turkey and homemade tomato sause (the store bought has a lot of sugar), back bacon and eggs whites (put in one yolk for flavor-I am eating that right now), sushi, even better sushimi, chicken or turkey burgers (no bun or whole wheat bun), pop corn with no butter or fat free margerine, fruit.

One fav snack is low fat pizza: Use whole wheat pita with tomato sauce, low fat ham or back bacon, low fat cheese served with salad.

Remember it isn't just what you eat but how much. Don't pig out. Eat so you are not hungary and drink lots of water.

Ohh and my fav dessert is low fat rocotta cheese with a bit of cocoa, splenda and vanilla.

Try having tortilla wraps, filled with chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, homemade coleslaw using low fat mayo, drizzle on a little sweet chili sauce.
Or, for something sweet, have you tried the skinny cow ice cream range, really low in sat fat but delicious! Or sugar free jelly, with fruit and low fat custard poured over.

Porridge made with water and a little salt - the scottish way. Its also cheap, low cholesterol and low GI.
You could use Milk, add sugar/syrup or anything that takes your fancy - its quite versatile and ideal for student budgets.

Walkers new baked crisps, great and lower fat. They are also low in calories but I think that this may be because you don't get that many in a pack.
Or, make a chilli with Quorn and brown rice. It tastes better than normal chilli.

Home made turkey burgers.

Squish turkey mince with chopped red onion, shape into burgers and cook for approx 25 mins. Really nice with whatever side options you want.

I'm a junk food addict but these are really scrummy.
