My son is 9 years old and he is following mommys steps:~( i had been strugling with acne since I was 8 and recently I found a product that I would have loved using if I had a chance ... anyway, i started washing his face with an acne treatment called clear addvantage, it is made from only purely botanicals and it's key ingredient is salicylic acid instead of benzoyl peroxide.... and his face is way much better... it is safe for their age, my husbands aunt is a dermatologyst and she gave us the ok when she saw the ingredients and she evn recomends it ... so enter their site and if their is any questions they could answer them fast .... http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com they have incredible skin care for us as well ... so try them ... they are a great combination of nature with science....

I would not get anything for your child because firstly I don't think it is acne on his face because it is too young for an 8 yr old. I would recomend u to make an appointment to see a dermatologists. That is the best way so u can play it safe because an 8 yr old skin is very sensitive and u must consult a doctor first. All the best!

I started getting pimples when I was ten. You can use any facewash system on a child as long as they're over a year old. I've had lots of luck with Mary Kay. Use their Velocity for her face wash and moisturizer, then use their acne treatment gel for spot treatment. If you don't already have a consultant, use mine. marykay.com/tarahschoell

Another thing...If she's getting pimples already, there's probably an underlying problem. Either stress, or she could have some type of disorder that makes her mature faster than she should.

I don't think I'd be putting anything on the face of an 8 year old, honestly. I'd probably make a quickie phone call to the pediatrician first because 8 is a bit young for acne.

I would continue to wash his face with soap and water. I would not put anything on his face until you talk to the doc. Next time you go to her doc bring it up and see what they say.
