Mona. Where were you when I was your age? I hate to tell you that many women try to change a man after they get married, men too.

When you say committment, do you mean as a b/f or all the way up through marriage? Boys and girls need to experience a number of dating relationships so that they can learn how the opposite sex is. How many varities of personalities do girls, or boys, have? What type of combination of personality, interests, and character will fit the best with my own?

I think that in teens and early 20's most people confuse love with sexual attraction and the powerful feelings that brings. I was afraid of the commitment of marriage until I had my career started and was making enough money to be able to afford to get married. I also, had to learn some communication skills and relationship skills also.

I'm afraid that those people who say that if you have "true love" everything will turn out well, don't know what they are talking about. My x-wife and I dated for 3 years and were married for 17 and1/2 years. We both fought very hard to stay married, but weren't able to do that. I thought I had gone through some very tough time before that but I couldn't even come close to immagining how much pain I felt after the divorce and for how long. It took 3 years before I even started to feel human again.

So, if you're in your teens or 20's, be more concerned about learning relationship skills and learning about your self. then you'll have a better chance of knowing Mr. Right when he comes along. Then is the time to be concerned about committment.

If I had known what I know now, I might have made a better choice like mona.

Because they are BOYS. Men aren't afraid of it. In fact, the older you get the more the men want it and the women don't

Because they are not MEN. Men stand up to responsibilites. They are gentlemen. They know how to treat a lady. They aren't cowards and they are certainly not immature.

Boys will always be boys like dogs running around with their tails between their legs while men stand up with their balls held high.
