There are so many good European beers to choose from instead of the watered-down garbage like Bud or Miller (And I live in Milwaukee, WI, the so called home of Miller), but I would have to say that the best I have tasted thus far is the Oatmeal Stout by Samuel Smith, an English brewery. It is flavorful, rich, and very smooth, without being at all harsh like Guinness. The best way I can describe it is silk in a glass. I also like some of the darker German beers.

Well my favorite beer from Europe at the moment is Spaten Oktoberfest but in general my favorite beers come from Belgium. Also Celebrator is phenomenal. That beer has a rating in the 90's.
Jonathan R- Yes it's true that America has some nasty watered-down beers but also keep in mind that American craft-brewers also make some of the best beers as well.
