It is perfectly normal for dogs to blow their coat a few times a year and, yes, it is a huge mess but you just need to keep your dog brushed.... daily... and bathe her with moisturizing doggie shampoo to keep her coat from drying out in the colder months. Add a tablespoon of olive oil to her food daily to help reduce shedding a bit, but it will be a few weeks before her shedding slows down to a normal rate. Just keep telling youself.... it will get better soon.

Sorry, very few breeds (aside from dogs like poodles & terriers) do NOT shed. People mistakenly ASSUME short-coated breeds do not shed- which is absolutely untrue. Unfortunately, white coated dogs have a hair coat color that shows up on everything. The spring & fall are the two main coat shed seasons for your breed. Daily brushing with a rubber grooming mitt or rubber curry comb, or use of a hound's mitt - can help get dead coat out. Warm shampoos once per month (if needed) can also help pull out dead coat (by extra weight of the water and the stimulation of soaping & toweling dry). There is no known shampoo IMO that will prevent shedding -if the coat is dead & new coat is coming in. Essential fatty acids (found in fish oil) simply helps give a shiny coat & helps prevent dry skin.

Is she eating a good quality food?

Other than that, dogs just shed and that's life. Brush her regularily and buy a handheld vacuum.

At this time of year a lot of dogs shed more than usual because of the seasons changing.

Take her to a groomer.

They will wash her, blow dry (removes the short hairs) and trim her nails for you.

If you cant afford it (which should cost under 30 dollars btw) you can do this yourself (minus the blow dry part) Pick yourself up a brush used by groomers called a "slicker" brush. Dont be afraid when you see it...lol...its not as bad as it looks and most dogs enjoy being brushed with them. It is usually a square brush with a handle that has hundreds of very fine metal teeth packed very close together. On a short haired breed this removes TONS of hair.

first you need to figure out why she is loosing all the hair so she should be taken to a vet pits are not supposed to loose that much hair it could be that she is allergic to her food or a skin infection
