Depends on how much they are paying you an hour but if you work 10 hours for 10 dollars there will be taxes taking out -

Unless you are under 18 you have to pay taxes. The taxes will be in proportioned to the amount of money you earned but you have to pay taxes (federal) - when the pay is a lower amount state and city sometimes do not get taken out.

It is nothing to do with how many hours, although this can be calculated based on working out your yearly gross salary and then seeing your hourly rate. etc...

The Income tax allowance in the UK for 2006/2007 is £5035 for the tax year (6th apr - 5th apr) This is how much you can earn that year before tax is payable. This also rises to £7280 if you are over 65 Yrs of age and £7420 if you are over 75.

So say you are 25 yrs old. you would not pay tax for the first £98.83 per week that you earn. but you would on anything above that. So if you were on £5.25/hour, you could work just under 18.5 hours per week and then not incur income take.

However you will still need to make national insurance contributions.

It's about pay levels not hours and it will depend on the person's tax coding. Generally, staff can earn just under £5,000 per year before tax but they will pay NI before they reach that amount ... and so will you.

Depends on how much an hour. PAYE (pay as you earn) has a book containing cross referencing of tax code to earnings. If you are on a low income, you do not pay tax, when you earn enough, you pay tax. Simple. The tax man is not as bad as he used to be, give em a call, they are friendly and willing to help you help yourself.

It depends on how much they earn in the year, not how many hours.

Depends on the country. Sometimes you can go on line and down load the tax tables and see fot yourself. Sometimes they may deduct tax but you may get it all back at the end of the year.

Depends on your salary not the hours. It also depends on your tax code. You may well be on 503L. This would mean that the first 5035 per year is tax free.

Once the individuals' total income passes the "tax free " allowance, they will be liable to pay tax on the remainder.

it depends on how much you earn. The best way to find out is to go to local newsagent and ask for a tax table. This will tell you how much tax will get taken out.
