Do you go cold or hot when spirits are around? (I don`t mean the drinks!)?

I always felt warm when I went to the Spiritualist Church, but all the programmes on TV say you go icy cold!

Take care that you are not deceived by bodily sensations or by power and signs and lying wonders which are after the working of Satan.

But perhaps a worse deception is when there are no sensations or wonders but the mind believes a lie - the deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved.

We are told, "Believe not every spirit but try the spirits whether they are of God because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God : Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God and this is that spirit of antichrist whereof ye have heard that it should come and even now already is it in the world."

True godly love and humility are the two things most different from the nature of spirits that are not of God. They cannot be counterfeited. Spirits not of God are full of pride and malice and are very successful in inciting mankind to the same.

Test and see : Will your spirits awaken the conscience and show men their need of a Saviour? Will they establish men in the belief that Jesus is the Son of God and the Saviour of sinners, and lead them to love Him? Will they persuade men that The Bible is God's word and encourage them to study it diligently? Will they reveal to men the truth about their soul's need and bring them out of darkness into light? Will they bring conviction of sin and realisation of unworthiness? Will they testify of God's immense love in giving His Son to die for us and in our place and take the punishment justly due to us so that we may be spared and restored? If not, they are not of God - for all these things the Spirit of God does.

Y'know, it's crazy. I was a ghost hunter for years (and found a good few), practice crazy magic, and many other sundry things, but I have a darn hard time telling if there are spirits around.

On the instances I have, it's been more weird physical sensations than hot or cold. For example, once on a ghost hunting expedition, we all felt like we were walking through knee-deep sludge--to the point where we had trouble moving and finally left the area because it was so hard to walk. (On a paved path in a graveyard!)

actually i hear a lot of people describing this hot and cold
but as a medium i have never experienced this .. i just know when spirits are around
but there is another logical reason why some people feel this change in temperature
when we get excited , scared or any emotion that may effect us physically
our own body temperature changes
therefore our exterior will feel the opposite of our inner
so perhaps some who feel cold on the outside are feeling a little scared and the blood is pumping faster round the body as it releases chemicals as a reaction
with you feeling a warmth , perhaps you were a little scared etc initially but the more comfortable you got the cooler you became internally thus feel warmer on the outside
this was explained to me by one of my mediumship teachers , so i am not debunking mediumship in any way xx

This hasn't happened to me, but in Christian literature (lives of the saints etc.) unexplained heat or cold are a sign of demonic activity. There is a certain kind of warmth that may accompany the activity of the Holy Spirit.

Different spirits bring different energies
In a Spiritual Church there are the energies of loved ones bringing compassion and love bringing Healing.
remember Spirit exist in a different dimention and work at a different frequency to us earth bound spirit so when it goes chilly it is spirit breaking downthe wall betweenhere and there

Actually, I used to start retching. It happened whenever I was near an evil spiritual entity. I think it was a kind of a warning due to my previous involvement with the Occult. I am becoming better at Discernment of Spirits now.

every man to his own opinion said the farmer when he kissed his cow. have received a chill on more than one occasion with the hair on my arms standing straight up. this has happened in every climate possible and both indoors and out. if these were not spirits wish someone could come up with a logical scientific explanation. because I was a cynic and skeptic on several issues regarding this subject and in some areas still am

Some Christians feel nauseous when evil spirits are around; some sense a bad smell; some get goose bumps; some just become very uncomfortable...

Usually the temperature in the area drops, but it is not unusul for a person to feel heat as well, it depends what the particular spirit is trying to convey.

You feel absolutely cold, as the room temperature fall, and you may even smell their presence, but if you see them, they are just evil spirits wearing the body of someone you might know. Feeling their presence is more likely they are trying to contact you, but they don't know how, either do you. They only can come to you in your dreams, and you must be careful not to be taken away with them, as they don't know the difference from being dead or alive.
