Vauxhall Nova SRi? Nah wait.. it's the Bugatti Veyron, whihc tops out at 254MPH.

The old record holder, the Mclaren F!, could hit about 230, and the Konigsegg is probably only a few MPH above that.

The fastest car you can buy is the Thrust SCC. It is the world land speed record holder. And someone owns it, so technically you can buy it.

Bugatti veyron, i dont know how much now but its over £1m & i believe costs more to make than the selling price - which is why you never see them on the road in any country no matter how rich you are. i'd be interested if you find an owner out there somewhere.
