Sad but true. This war in Iraq did not put us in a high place in the eyes of the world...

Korea was a UN-mandated mission of defense against Communism. If you want to complain about this, then complain to the United Nations. I guarantee any real Korean will tell you to GOTO HELL if you think it was better for the Americans not to be involved and all of Korea to become COmmunist.
Vietnam was an attempt to stop the Communist takeover of the south of the country - and if you think the Communists were good, then try looking at the number of refugees escaping from Vietnam since it was taken over by the Communists.
Somalia was a UN-mandated humantarian mission to prevent starvation and the primacy of armed gangs. If you think that the war in Somalia was instigated by the Americans, you haven't been looking at the facts.
Even the Russians have more military campaigns than the Americans do (Chechnya, China, Georgia, Ukraine, secret military advisors to Korea, Vietnam, various African and Latin American conflicts) so you might want to take a look at your research (or lack thereof).
You can claim Afghanistan and Iraq are unjust all you want. I really don't care. But you complaining about certain past wars against Communism such as Korea and Vietnam, or a humanitarian mission like Somalia (why not complain about Haiti then? Both UN missions) is BULLSHIT.
Violence is not a "basic concept in American character" - but evidently, you not being able to read events properly is a flaw in your own personality.

Please provide the name of one nation that has not engaged in violence. Also you left out Panama and Grenada. As far as who is next I think that depends on world events and the government of the US. Their is a notion that the US is the only country that has ever had a war. If you find yourself a copy of The 20th Century Book of the Dead you will find that the highest number of deaths caused by a given country puts the US quite a ways down on the list. Try to do a little reading before asking questions. It makes you look less foolish.

Are you surprised? Whatever the Americans cannot solve using there brains must be bombed out of existence. Bush struggles to answer questions intelligently from journalists. His most intelligent reply has been "this situation is unacceptable","Islamic fascists". The fact that he was elected twice says it all

You need to get your facts strait. Our country has only gone to war after being provoked. Let's see, WWII, we helped our allies in Europe and we went to war with Japan because they bombed pearl harbor. Vietnam? We helped our allie, North Vietnam, to combat South Vietnam. Korea? We helped our allie South Korea, against an invading North Korea, Gulf War? We helped our allie, Kuwait, defend themselves against an invading Iraq. War on terror in Afghanistan? Umm 9/11? War against Saddam? Failure to comply with the UN and for crimes against humanity. Get your facts strait we have never started a war, we end them.

I am British, but the concept is the same. If the 'peace-loving' Muslims would stop blowing our balls off perhaps we wouldn't have any cause to send our servicemen out to risk their lives in foreign countries.
