one of my actor friends has just joined an escort agency catering for the needs of career women looking for dinner and conversation… its supposed to be pretty legit and has even been reviewed in the Evening Standard etc..

but would you ever use these services?

Ellie29uk is absolutely spot on btw... he's not trying the escort work because the acting roles are flooding in! ;-)

Last summer I did some escorting as a friend of mine who's a model said it was a good way of earning extra Money... Being down in Bournemouth it's a fairly rich area and I must have been on 14 dates over a 3 month period. Nothing dodgy about it, although you do feel strange sitting and chatting, even flirting a little with ladies twice your age but they weren't all like that...

In terms of money I used to get £40 an hour, dependant upon what the excursion was.

My ex didn't like it after a while which is understandable which is one reason I stopped

Yes. I wouldn't now because I'm in a loving relationship but there is a time when I would have. It can get very lonely (even with a group of friends) going to the theatre or out for dinner and not having someone to have a really intelligent conversation with, at least that is what I found. It would have been nice to go out for dinner, flirt a little, have some nice conversation, pay the bill and know there is no pressure to sleep with them or see them again.

Good luck to your friend.

I understand the desire to have some new aquiaintances, and meet interesting men for conversation and to check out interesting restaurants and bars with. Especially in a city like London- it can get a bit lonely here.

But I really wouldn't pay for it, there's no need. You can go on an internet dating site and get unlimited dinner dates with men and not be paying for it... why not just do that?

To be honest, if I ever found myself having to pay and absolute fortune to go out for dinner and conversation with a glorified waster, I'd seriously contemplate throwing myself into the Thames.

Yes I would but I'm in the U.S. I wish I could find an escort service hiring here.

Why would a career lady be interested in an actor... which is just a posh name for being unemployed?

But to answer your question... no bloody way..... I'm fed up not hard up!

No way. I'd rather just log on to a dating website and find someone for company that way if I was that desperate.
