I have plenty of things from childhood, but the one thing that I will keep forever is my doll. When I was 4 I was using curse words all of the time and nothing that my mother and grandmother did would stop me, so they bribed me. Said that if I would stop using curse words that they would buy me a doll. Well sure enough I stopped and they bought me this really really realistic doll. She is all dressed up and put away until I can give her to my children.

I have my first pair of shoes.
My mom thinks I'm crazy for keeping them. She was going to throw them away. She sees no reason to keep things. Everything is just a dust collector to her.
I have a box of things that are my son's. He is only 7 but I have a lot of little things saved. His first little outfit he wore for pictures. His first stuffed toy. He actually took it out of the box and sleeps with it again. I have all his teeth that he has lost and all the notes he wrote to the tooth fairy.

All of my wonderful memories. All the material things were lost in a fire. But the friendships and experiences will be with me for the rest of my life.
