when a mother delivers a baby girl instead congratualating her they smile and say that hope next time u get a baby boy, after so much of pain a women deliver s a baby and what she gets sad faces of her family, this speacily with orthodox family, even educated people also behave in this manner Why? a girl is not being welcomed in this world as so happily a boy is being welcomed Why this so?

Awww im sorry to hear that. Thata horrible they acted that way. I dont think boys are better than females in any kind of way,,,besides giving a woman a headache. If you are talking about yourself,,,,congrats on your baby girl. We are the ones that suffer ,going through labor and everything else after that,,taking care of them. Some people just dont appreciate females at all. They sound pretty ignorant to me,,,dont let it bother you.

I am not sexist, but I have seen this happen mostly in men. They are normally the one's going on about "Hope next time you get a baby boy" I think men do this, because deep down they think males are the superior sex. The dad's of baby girls can also be disappointed, because they were hoping for a boy- a replica of them, someone they could raise to do things they use to do.It's just a matter of their preference in the sex of the baby and sometimes they say things like that, thinking everyone else thinks like that. You shouldnt worry about that. Boy or girl, they are both special and they are gifts from God.

I think it is all cultural, etc. Boys are looked upon as good because it's a mans world honey! Point blank. They can provide for the family, make more money, etc. Not always but sometimes. I disagree with the whole boys good, girls bad notion. A child no matter what gender is a true blessing and should be treated as such.

This does not happen where i stay, but i think it is to do with carrying on the family name. When a girl gets married she takes on her husbands name, but for the man they give thier name to their wife and carry it on to their children and so on. I'm sure that's what it is!

That hasn't happened to anyone in my family, including brother, sister, nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren. We all just wanted mom and baby to do well and be healthy. And they all have been! I hope this helps.
