Hi Dee
Before i had my first child i was a size 6 and weighed 7 stone
i was so skinny i hated it and i got through so many meals and nothing would happen but thats a thing of the past...because i learnt i was eating the wrong kinds of food and not excercising
so you want to gain weight........GOOD one Dee
its simple all you need to do is eat a balanced diet with a few extra calories...you would do this until you reach your correct
body weight for your height.
Dee the last thing you need is to gain to much weight in calories you can do this on a healthy basis:
start the day with:
breakfast try this and experiment you have choices
break up weetabix/shredded wheat / oats in a bowl
add some chopped apple, bannana, pineapple etc
pour a full fat yogurt on top
add mixed nuts, seeds.
and eat....this will set you up till lunch, dont worry if you cannot eat all of it it takes getting used to
Lunch
chicken,pasta chesse,large salad,various veg
you dont need to think about low fat foods but eat healthy
a strawberry weight gaining shake once a day ..maybe beneifical to you and use full fat milk
you can get them from all good health food shops even Argos :)
dinner
beef curry, rice, large salad, various veg
fruit with icecream
you also need inbetween snacks such as :
fruit, nuts,donuts,icream,cream cakes..really balance
this up.. dont go over board, remember to much of one thing is not a good thing
give it three months you'll see the change and either throw your scales away
or just put it away.....and you would also be doing your self a favour if you excercised... this will help you to build an appitite and give you some curves,
mix up your menu with diffirent foods, and please drink as much water as possible, to day i am a size 6 weighing just over 8 and a half stone at 5ft 2,
go for it.GOOD LUCK

My husband has the same problem because he is hypoglycemic which basically means he has a really, really fast metabolism. He usually is nauseous in the morning because his stomach is empty. You should ask your doctor, but what I do for him, is, yes, it sucks, but I make him eat breakfast around 6AM, usually 2 eggs, 2 sausages and toast or English muffin with juice and coffee. At 8 he has a granola bar. At 10, he has some fruit, at noon he has a full lunch. Throughout the day, he eats a snack every two hours and then a full meal at dinner time. The main point being, that his stomach is never empty. You don't want to eat junk food, but defiantly stock up with healthy snacks, when you do put on some weight, you want it to be the good kind.
Also, thank your lucky stars, I'm 22 and I'll NEVER be mistaken as being anorexic and I eat a fourth of what my hubby does! :-)
Good luck!!

I too at your age had the same problem, but i started a regular weight training program and started consuming whey protien 3 times a day. This gives extra calories but is low in fat and you will pack on some serious lean muscle. Stay off the takeaways you want healthy weight not fat. Take one of the whey shakes in the morning this will satisfy your hunger for while. But i do recommend a breakfast.
Aneorixia is a state of mind, i too used to look in the mirror and see nothing but fat. I use to hide food etc. But when i started weight training and exercising i saw a way ahead. You can as well.
i am now a qualified fitness proffessional and am in the process of starting up my own business

Low carb diets are commonly undesirable and do not help you shed extra pounds better than the different 'weight relief plan'. people have a tendency to regain weight after maximum diets because, as you stated, they go back to their old conduct. Make a existence form substitute and do not even attempt for an undesirable weight relief plan. Your body desires healthful carbs. devour authentic workout regularly Any loss over 3 lbs/wk is too quickly and probability of regain is extreme. dodge any ingesting plan or "weight relief plan" that desires to you severe cut back or get rid of carbs or fat or protein or some thing else...you elect all those issues to be healthful, basically the right form and contained in the right quantities. strong success!

You're eating all the wrong stuff.
You need to eat lots of carbs (pasta, rice, pots), also large steaks. Lay off junk, cause it has empty calories, which provide you with very little nutrients.
Also, doing some weights will help to bulk you up a bit.
If you are really serious - get a few sessions from a personal trainer who can advise you on eating correctly and the right exercises to do.

You are just like me, same age too. We have such fast metabolism that it is imposible to put on weight. I have had the same weight for the last 8 years, no matter how much I eat, and boy do I eat! I made my doctor take blood tests for me too and everything is as he calls it perfect, BMI 18,5 and I know is the limit of just healthy.
All my friends think it is great and are even calling me lucky cow but the truth is in today fashion when they make the clothes bigger and bigger I am finding it so hard to find trousers that fit.
I guess we just have to wait a little longer, with age we will slow down and put weight on.

Number 1 is that you must eat breakfast it is the most important meal of the day it starts your motor going, do you go to the gym if not I suggest you do, by eating high protein foods and high carb foods together with weight training you WILL put on weight, I wish you all the best.

I'm having this problem with my son, we have skinny gene's in our family. A while ago i started giving him a high callorie diet and also a weight gain powder which you mix with milk.[you can buy this from Argos £20] There was a difference although not a major one. Make sure you eat lot's of fruit and veg also.
