I am 19 and had so many kidney infections. For the past 4 months I have had problems with kidney stones. I have severe leg pain, back pain, headaches, sometimes dizziness. I have heard about different things like kideny failure, and lupus. Does anyone know what could be going on? I went to my Dr. and he is trying to tell me I have a back problem but I think it's more than that and I want a second opinion but I don't want to go and sound stupid. Thanks for any help!

Hey. I have not had the problem to the same extent as you which sounds really horrible but i have suffered from several kidney infections per year and they are agony. Your doctor should book you in for a kidney scan to see whats going on an to insure there is no kidney scarring from recurring infections. Tell you Doctor to get on the case!

I had the same type of issue and went throught he same concerns. Turned out to be 2 issues at stake. One kidney, one back. Lost the kidney and had the back rebuilt. If the doc is telling you that there may be a back issue, get it checked out. It was an awakening for me. A simple MRI will determine if this is the case.

I had urinary tract infections constantly,I was always in pain my legs, back It hurt so bad . I went to my doctor who put me on antibotics. Because of my age they never tested me for kidney problems stating I was to young. Well I got pregnant with my second child and my left kidney failed. So yes I think you should change doctors and go see a nephrologist(a kidney specialist). As much as we should trust our doctors you can't. I am on high blood pressure meds for the rest of my life. The protein in my urine was triple the norm. I had a biopsy they still don't don't know why it failed.
