We keep hearing about our troops being killed. I don't want to be cynical but it would be informative to know the full 'score'

Not enough! The British dead make the headlines (understandably) more than the Afghan casualties (I assume you mean Taliban) but quite regularly you will hear of a British assault that left for example 30 insurgents dead with only injuries to our lads. On a score line basis you would have to say our Army is winning but nobody seems to know the true strength or numbers of the enemy. They seem to keep crawling out of the woodwork

1000's. Many more than those Muslims killed by the Serbians,and those Muslims killed in by the Russians and in India.
Afghans are poor and their head is an American agent, that is why International community do not count.
Only yesterday the John Hopkins University reported the killing of 6500+ Iraqis since the Americans got in.They also reported the presence of Mosad agents in huge numbers in Iraq.

Is that including the Afghan Wars of the 19th C as well?
Don't know the answer but I like to throw in annoying qualifiers.
