FINALLY! Someone that actually agrees with me. I hate when people say, for example, black and white people are different races. Are a black and a white puppy different races? NO! They're both dogs.
Skin colour is just natures quirk, a lovely way to be unique and individual. It doesn't make you a different race to the next person, damnit. We're all human beings.

Responding to the guy with the puppies, the analogy you made was not correct. That would say that we're all human. It says nothing about race, especially since the dogs could have been different breeds.
Essentially, that's what it is. There are multiple races, and these are different breeds of people. No one would deny that a doberman and a chihuahua are different breeds, even if all house dogs are the same species. Within a race, the members share certain physical characteristics that differ from the other races'. Facial structures are different, skin tones are different, trends in height are different, etc.
So yes, there are many cultures, but there are also many races. But all races are of the same species. I'm guessing that you're asserting the single race because you're against racism. If that's so, keep in mind that to fix a problem, you need to address it. Denying it's existence only allows it to continue.

I think you're confusing the definition of the word 'race' with 'species'.
Yes we're all human but there are different 'breeds' of human, much in the same way there are different 'breeds' of dog. While we are all the same species different races have adapted to deal with their environment and have changed slightly in result of that (skin tone, head shape, single hair colour etc).
The proof of our common species is in the fact that no matter what race, any healthy couple can produce offspring.

We all spoke the same language at one time until we sinned by trying to become like God. During the contruction of the Tower of Babel, God confused their tongues so they could not understand one another. This caused them to be scattered into different cultures which by nature is exclusiveness. So your answer is culture.

Because Human nature makes us prone to lean one way or another to the race of our choice or preferance, and because of that we create biases that make us label things.

I believe because of low self esteem, others put different races down, they think it makes them look more important, when in fact it just shows ignorance, and how small and childish they are.

It's a matter of conflict, "You're on that side, I'm on this one." It's just another excuse to justify selfishness.
