Are you eating for energy? That makes a big difference. When my diet slips a bit, so does my energy level...

First realise that people work on the pain and pleasure principle.

Even though you know you will feel better while you are at the gym, ultimately you associate pain in going to the gym and pleasure of staying home. The action that is associated with pleasure is always going to win.

You need to try and reverse this. You need to link massive pain to not going to the gym. Get a piece of paper and ask yourself these questions: If I don't go to the gym what effect will this have on me in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years. Describe this is great detail. What sort of pain will it cause you, how will you look, how will you feel? Now ask yourself: If I do go the gym what effect will this have on me in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years. How will you feel, what will you gain in your life, how will you look etc.

Another one is to think how you are usually motivated. Do you find you are more motivated when you with others? Find a past example in your life where you have been motivated and try to use the same method with your gym workouts. For example: I am only motivated when I am working out with others, so I make sure I go the gym with a friend or do a group class.

Also make sure that you write out a goal so you have something to aim for and altimately something you can reward yourself for. This will give you a sense of achievement and help reinforce the pleasure of going to the gym.

Last tip is to lookup a hypnotherapy download re: motivation or fitness. I use these myself and highly recommend them.

Exercise is one of the hardest things for most people to get into. I go to a gym to work out, because I usually have a friend to go with. Having someone to exercise with will help motivate you. Even if you do it at home. Put a picture on your refrigerator of your self, and another of the body you would like to have. That helps some people.
Good luck

You're fat. There, I said it, now I am going to take it back. Now, since I scared you by telling you that you were fat, you should want to go to the gym, right????? or,
Maybe you really just don't put alot of emphasis on looks, not so much that you don't want to be healthy??? Not such a bad thing I guess. But, if you are in the market for a girl friend, it might not hurt to buff up the old biceps. lol

1. Get someone to go along = make an appointment!
2. Try a class (aerobic, stepping, spinning...) they have a set time = make an appointment!
3. Have a trainer train you for about 4 weeks = make an appointment!

After about 4 weeks of appointments (usually 3-4 times a week!) you'll either be addicted like me or you'll have a friend / trainer / class you'll not want to miss. And the endorphins after training are better than any booze...

SO GET STARTED NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you know what is good for you then go all out to get it. Let nothing stop you. Whatever stands on yr way is an enemy that must be crushed. Laziness is a diease and its therefore not ur friend, my advice is this: Fight against it with d last breath in you.

Determination is the key word, if u're determined u're on ur way to success. Good luck.

same... i'd rather not move than move... but i guess the initiative is the hardest part to start. if you get over the starting part.. the doing part is pretty easy.

so.... hm... don't think anyone can move you besides your consciousness and will power. lol.

sorry can't really help you other than this.

gotta help yourself eh?
