Meaning, how do you get rid of a crush, or that odd feeling you get with someone you like.

How do you get rid of that strange smile you get when you see someone you like when you shouldn't like them at all.

It's hard especially, with OCD, to stop obsessing. How do I stop thinking of someone cold turkey?

Especially, if I know I'll never meet that person at all?

I feel your pain and i've been in the same shoes. I was in love with a man whom i later discovered he was married. It tore me apart as i had to end it and yet i was still in love with him. My advice is, time will heal wounds. It sounds like a cliche but its true. Even if it will take 6 years, it will get to that point when you will forget about him but take note, you will remember him once in a while, though.

Experience as it is, no matter how painful or sweet is to shape our minds for the future. Please don't date when you're on the rebound and you can hang out with friends, keep yourself busy at work, do things, go out, e.t.c. Its a gradual process so give it time.

I don't think you get over it. I think you just get enough maturity to deal with it like a grown woman. That's my experience.
