They are a cult. Very subtle in their deception, apearing Christian in most ways. They deny the triune nature of God (the trinity), and replace it with an ancient heresy called Modalism in which God has a Oneness. He was the Father in the OT, came down and became Jesus, and now he has become the Holy Spirit. Assuming different "modes" in different times, but just one divine Person. Doesnt sound so bad right? And it is very likely that there are real believers in Jesus in this cult, they just are a little confused.

Where they go wrong the most is in saying that unless you are water bapitized by their formula (where the pastor says "in Jesus name" only, not "in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit") then you cannot be saved. So their pastors say the magic words and poof, youre saved...

Their adherents tend to be very legalistic in their lifestyle, and very charismatic in their worship.

General rule of thumb for churches in North America: if it has the word "Apostolic" in the name of the church, they are usually a branch of this cult.
