I really don't want to cut them though as my partner has a foot fetish and loves my lengthy toe nails....but it is really becoming a problem shoe wise....please any helpful suggestions?

Its really unhealthy to keep your toenails so long. If your partner really cares for you, he won't mind so much. Meanwhile, wear slippers or open toed sandles.

Use a nail file and file away.
That way they still look lovely to your partner and you will be able to wear your trainers comfortably.

try just filing them down to a reasonable length not to long not to short and you should be okay
