The woman will definitely get the best of love and care as a result of the age gap.

As long as she is at least 18 herself I say fine. Maybe she is looking for a sort of father figure so what. Whatever makes you happy. Problem is she may outgrow that one day. Then again, she may not. Even so nobody ever said every relationship has to last forever. Some aren't meant to but still worth having.

i don't know... if you want my honest opinion, i think sometimes older guys wanna get younger girls and since they have more experiences, its easier to get younger girls infatuated and make them think that they are in love. i have encounter a old male who's my driving instructor and he scare the heck out of me by sweet talking.
but however, there are a thousand possibilities with love and i can easily be wrong. just keep an open mind and honestly ask yourself.... is this true love? what happens if he dies first and i'm still young with kids and without a breadwinner (if you aren't the main source of income) and is this a truely mutual relationship?
talk to a trusted friend/family member and ask them what they think. people in reality tends to be a better source for answers as they know you better and they can ask you questions that may help answer your problems.
if not, last resort, talk to a counsellor who hears people's problems.
good luck and i hope this is true love!

Easy, from experience, just make sure you both think alike and enjoy doing the same thing, make sure he is not married and that he is as much in love as you, if he has children, make sure that you can handle the fact that they are close to your age, also make sure he is healthy and fit and not someone you have to nurse in just a few years. But it can and will work if you both contribute to the relationship and always love and consider each other.

The ball is in your court and its entirely up to you. Think about the consequences of your actions. Is he married? Does he have kids? Is the lady looking for a father-to-daughter relationship. Its a wide generation gap so it would be totally different from the ''young couple'' relationship.
Good luck.

Probably to find someone your own age, or at least a bit closer to it.
While age doesn't matter (according to many) at least if you are closer in age you will (or should) have more in common. When you are only 40, he'd be almost 60. That will also make a big difference later in life.

Go for it, if you really love him and he makes you happy and vice versa, of course!
My wife is 17 years my junior and from the Philippines. It is hard work, but if both a pulling on the same strang then it works! Oh, and btw, we have two little boys now!
Good luck!!

Age is but a number.
Happiness in this instance is not governed by age but by love.
On a lighter note.
As men can take longer 2 mature than women, they'd B equally matched.

18 years is too much. But if you see the Chaplin Film "LIME LIGHT" ~ it shows the way.
