We don't have any family close by. So we are trying to decide if we should use a Day care center, A agency, or a private sitter? What do you think.
Thanks a head of time.

I would use a Day care center. You child will get the care he/she needs, plus interaction with other children their age. But I would do your homework, and make sure you find a good one. Check their licensing, references from other parents if available. And in most states you can get a back ground type check on how long they have been in business, any complaints from any parents or guardians etc... Agency's are okay, but they have their draw backs as you may not always get the same sitter, and is more costly. And I have had trouble with agency's. Private sitters are good if you know them well. But your child will not get the interaction with other children unless they have day care in their home. What ever you decide make sure you check them out thoroughly. I have 3 kids 3,8 & 10. And we have run into a few snags with Child care. CHECK THEM OUT AHEAD OF TIME!

I think a private day care because they do not have too many, and can watch them closer I think. Maybe only about 4 children. I think the kids need others to play with, but the more kids they are around the more colds they pick up, etc. A private sitter would not give them playmates.

Day Care Center. I used to work in one. But before making your pick do some sort of research on all of them. Choose the one that makes you feel most comfortable leaving your daughter behind. Follow up continuously with the teacher she will be under her supervision. But please do not leave her after hours, make sure to pick her up on time :) Hope this is of help to you.

i am sorry it is hard to let someone else raise your child i would rather you find a GOOD neighbor. daycare employees are the lowest payed employees you can find. they would be better off in a McDonald's play place at least there they could learn Spanish.

give your child a hug from me and good luck
