Dating an awesome guy for about three months. He is really family orientated. The problem is that i don't have family here. How will his family deal with me not having family and will they accept a girl that is on her own for 8 years. I am now 28 and he lives on his own too but it seems that family is really important to him. It is for me too but i don't have the family history. Do you think that this will work? should i ask him? Or just leave it for now.

Well my family is very important to me, so one of the main things I look for in someone is a person who loves and respects their family, even if they don't live local. I don't think his family will have a problem with you not having family there so long as you are honest and open, and not willing to judge anyone, then they should accept you just fine. Oh, and when you meet them, don't run them down to him later! Could break it.

Most families that are close have no problem including new members such as yourself when they see how important you are to a member of their family. Thats the way it is in my family.

It should not be a big problem, sometimes it is an asset. It is hard enough looking for approval for yourself let alone a whole family.Be yourself and know that if he loves you that is the most influential factor for his family!
