There are many causative agents to have stomach sickness. Have your stool analysis checked if it is caused by amoeba so that proper treatment can be given. Metronidazole is the treatment choice if that is the case. ♥

It leads to cramps and blood in the stool. Antiamoebic drugs include metronidazole, tinidazole and secnidazole. Diloxanide furoate is also used.To avoid it, drink clean water. When eating, remember the old rule: Wash it, peel it, cook it or forget it.

LOTS, eat raw fish at any sushi bar and you're BEGGING for an intestinal parasite !

Amoebic dysentery?
I've had it...First I was afraid I would die, then I was afraid I wouldn't die. Lasted for two months (many years ago, could have been longer). Could not eat or hold down food.
