sure , why not.. I doubt very highly that seeing a councelor could hurt.. I mean if you want something to change about yourself you need to take that step, and sometimes the only thing you have to change is your point of view or your perspective on things.. it sounds like you just need someone to help you retrain your thoughts about yourself and help you realize your good points and give you the tools you need to gain the confidence you desire! I say go for it, you are worth it!

But if you know all that already - why don't you work on that? Start with "easy" things:

Step in front of a mirror every day and find something about you what you like - maybe the way your hair falls or the sparkle in your eyes, anything! And then try one more thing: when you're on the street, in the mall or anywhere walking amongst other people hold your head up and smile! You'll bee surprised how many people will smile back!
Take care!!!!

Sure, I think it is good to see a counselor first. Don't expect miracles though. YOU have to change the attitude. A lot of good advice on topic. My advice would be to talk positively to yourself but especially those around you. You will be surprised at the way people begin to look at you and how you will feel better because of it. YOU ARE O.K. !! I struggle with the same problems. DON'T act like everyone else wants you to act. BE YOURSELF. You will feel so much better about yourself if you are being YOU.

I'm not sure, but you should know that everybody has positive and negative sides. You don't have to be a model or have the character of a sales person to have a good life.

1. If you don't like your looks make sure you like your clothes, wear nice colours and fancy shoes. Make sure you like your haircut. Suddenly you'll find out you look good.
2. Before you start something, decide when you give up and when not. Then stick to that plan and you'll see that you will be way more successful.

Good luck.

honestly, we have the same problem girl.. but then my folks told me that all of us have negative sides. it is up to you to be comfortable with it. don't be afraid to be criticized by other people, take it just like they are helping you know things. accepting the fact that we are all humanbeings that we all do have flaws means your growing. even models have something they don't want in their body you know, you just don't notice it because they flaunt their best part. but if you look closely they do have flaws too. accept yourself first, reflect.. look at the mirror and find time to thank god for the blessings you have. you are still fortunate than other people. at least you do have hands to type your quiries here. at least you do have eyes to see the advices people here is giving you. be optimistic... all of us are beautiful and handsome.. though your fat, thin, sexy etc. it's just body.. when you get older, body is not counted. darling, you have to believe in yourself nobody is perfect remember that, and don't be afraid of radical visions. regarding the talking negatively? well it all starts with removing the pessimistic side of yours and open your mind with positive things. JUST BE OPTIMISTIC.

U r lucky... U atleast know what are ur problems/ negative aspects... Now that you already know them u can attack them one by one and win over them... One think you need to accept is that no one is perfect in this world and it is necessary to be incomplete...and different.. or else the world would be boring...And counselor is not needed for someone who knows her problems.

Don't you believe that it is only the look the counts but in fact the deep down inside of your good heart that is last forever.

Believing in yourself and be strong. Your beautiful mind and pretty heart would win the race.

I think it would be bit difficult to change your basic nature overnight.. However, you can take a conscious effort to improve it over time, one you are fully aware of your negatives... Try to be cheerful and smile at people.Talk to them. Be confidnet in whatver you do...Guys like girls that are confdient and cheerful. More than good looks good personality and body langulage matter. Hope this helps..
above all. belive in yourself! You are unique.in your own ways....!!!.

the answer is yes but a councelor i would say is someone who will tell the truth, is experienced with what you want to talk about, and upmost someone who you will always tell the truth to. depending on the subject you could have a councelor in your best friend, family, strangers, or all of them together. just remember you can easily get a councelor by just confiding to one.

yes, you have to see a counselor but you have to know that the problem you have is made inside your brain. You have to convince your self how good you are and love your self. that is what I could say...
