maybe beacause we wanna feel the song and that would help us sing the song with feelings.
we look like we are in pain when we dance coz our feet hurts.

We close our eyes mainly to avoid distraction and to have full concentration on the song. It also helps in feeling ourself better and make us felt alone.
There is always a pain in the body (especially legs) when you dance. Some will have that pain shown and some will hide it and show different expressions.

when you close one of your senses the other senses would be much stronger and that's why we close our sense of sight. we also close our eyes for us to empower our voice and feel the music. when you dance you look like in pain if you really don't know the steps but then if you know it even your eyes are close you will never look like that. you may feel uncomfortable maybe with the dance, or if your dancing with sensual moves etc, we usually do that to feel the music that surrounds you. it is more on passoin on what you do, i think.. both requires emotions to feel the music and for you to have a fantastic performance after.

We close eyes while singing to let ear listen better. When one of your brain' feelings, for example visual feeling doesn't work the other ones are working better, so your ear listen to the melody you are singing better and you are singing clearely, better...

Closing your eyes would lightly heighten your sense of sound, which is more useful for singing then seeing is.

i dont close my eyes when i sing, and obviously somebody doesnt know how to dance.
