i am a white guy i dated a black girl i did not feel weird at all.
if you don't like white people because they are white don't do it.
if you worry about what others might possibly think you ill never succeed at anything in life.
black ice, black guys and black eyes all sound the same when coming from a 8 year old. just a side note, added to some confusion in my life but that is another story.
have fun and good luck

I've dated 2 white guys. One was 20 years older than and English, the other was 10 years older, a Serb. I fell in love with both of them.
Society never treated me any different from dating a black guy. I live in London and interracial relationships are common. My only problem was my Mother, didn't like me dating out of race.
I think you should date him, give him a chance!

You going to get people that will critisize and will be sceptical. But that is just human nature, blocking out the unknown. If your relationship is strong with this guy then that should not be a problem. Remember outside influences should not have an effect on how you feel for him.

What does his color or his nationality got to do with your future in both of you?. If this is a serious love he has or you have for him, than not even a RELIGION would stop you from getting married. You are NOT serious about love and marriage, and that is why you are skeptical about it. Why would you be embarrassed to get marry to a white guy, or be uncomfortable?. This is you, and YOU should be the one who should decide what is right for you and accept it.

society will judge you no matter what. if its their approval you are seeking that is something else entirely. there is the social unease to inter-racial dating yes, but inter-racial marriages have jumped 200% in the past 10 years so society will have to change whether they like it or not. you not liking his friends is also something that you have to figure out for yourself. his friends are an expression of him, however most will not be around forever. you should like him for who he is not what somebody else may say. i am white and have dated black girls. i got heat from my black male friends for 'taking a hot sister off the market'; funny how it was okay for them to date white girls. you will get used to things like this, and so will they. if you like him, go for it! the world is getting to be an awfully small place to limit who you can/can't date.

i'm a black girl dating a white guy. and there is no difference inthe way society treats us. the way i see it is that colour or race has nothing to do with it. there are heaps of couples that are from two different cultures.

This is a decision that only you can make. Do you love this dude? How does he make you feel? I know that love doesn't know colour. You have to decide what is best for you.
Why don't you go out with him and get to know him? That way you won't have to look back in your life and wonder what it would have been like to date him.

I personally don't think you should care what others think about you. You are not hurting anyone by liking him back, if you really do. If you do not experience it, then perhaps you might always tell yourself "What if?" in the future.
