lol! I'm afraid so. You're right. However, it's just a fantasy. People who are supposedly religious can be the most hateful of all. Isn't that funny? The whole reason we're supposed to be here is to debate things in a positive and constructive way. I have apologized for saying something to someone who was clearly being unfair, but my reaction wasn't in good representation of my faith, and I let them know I was sorry for that. We're human beings, however, there is making a mistake like the one I made, and trying to correct your error, and then there is the kind of hate that knows no limits. Unfortunately, there are some of the latter kind I mentioned who call themselves whatever faith they claim to practice, and I just laugh to myself. And I wonder why they hate so much. I think the cleanup needs to be done in some people's hearts. They need to do a very thorough examination of why they really think some of the things they do. Most of the time, they are generalizations which are totally unfair.

Places like this will never offer help for people to progress in their Spiritual Journey... you may find an answer or two that makes you realize something or you may find a person which to bond with.... but you will never find Spiritual Guidance on a site like this.

This is a good question. People come here seeking answers beyond the physical world into the spiritual world, and often find themselve being ridiculed, instead, by people who do not believe that a spiritual world exists. It has often been more of a battleground than an "Answers" site, it seems to me.

Religion is a natural tendency of man. It consist in the purity of soul and its freedom from passion and aversion which alone constitute true religion. The rest is a mere sophistry. Devotion to truth alone can bring spirituality. Spirituality is the soul of religion. Spirituality is the feeling of perfection which fills in the vaccum we feel in our life.It is the experience of joy which destroys the legacies of misries. The sense organs, the mind, the intellect do not shine by their own light. It is the spirit of man which enlightens them.It is the spirit which demands freedom, perfection and joy.
Religion so far as its essence is concerned is formless.Human mind has given it a formal character.Result is that it is identified with the scriptures.Symbolism began with the formation and institutionalization of religion. Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Islam and Christianity are names given to religion which have assumed corresponding institutional forms. Religion, the essence of which is spiritualism, is comprehended by man in terms of names and forms. It is these names and forms which have been the cause of concern not the religion in its pure form. Purity of soul is the essence of religion; not the rituals that caused concern.
To progress in our spiritual journey, we have to look into ourselves, our spirit and purity in self. We need to clean ourselves, then to clean Religion & Spirituality.

Isn't that what church is for?
And who is going to decide what is clean and unclean?
Who is to say it hasn't helped someone progress in their spiritual journey?
It has helped me reconfirm that being an atheist is right.

i agree with you.
all the people who are just here to ask provoking derogatory questions and give insults should just stay out of the section.
i dont have a problem with people who dont have faith asking questions and debating but people need to be carefull what they say. it is obvious when someone is trying to insult a religion and when they are genuinely wanting to seek knowledge or opinions on a matter.
there should be a way for Y!A to kick out people who are xenophobic, racist or highly prejudiced and insult other participants.

yes, I think so too. I hope people who do not believe in religion and have no spirituality should keep away unless they have serious input. We all need to have seriuos input. There are so many so irrelevant questions, many provoking, disrespectful ones or, at their best, just silly weird ones.

Clean sometimes equates with dead, like disinfection you kill everything good or bad. No I think it better to sort and sift through, ignore the obvious trash unless you find it humorous and just answer questions that interest you or that you can relate to as most of us do.already
