I mean seriously why? I mean being gay is a sin, and I do think being gay is grossish, but seriously.
There are lots of sins, a kid refusing to take out the trash is a sin (Slothery, not doing work when needed) is he/she going to hell? at one point I believe it was said for girls to keep there hair covered, except when they are home. we all know that lasted eh -.-
to make a long story short, there are alot of sins, but really hearing people say your going to hell because your gay makes me laugh. so the most saintly man/woman is going to hell because they like the same sex? that seems stupid to me.
I think its more like a, i'd perfer you not type thing, except if your parents say, don't eat anything sweet its late at night, you eat it anyway, they will be mad but they arn't going to take away everything you have and put you in juvy now are they?
there are alot more bad things out there then guys doing other guys, I doubt being gay will destine(sp?) you to hell like some say

It's interesting that you say god made guys to be attracted to only girls and visa versa.
does it not strike you as odd then that being gay is um natural? look around you, there are gay animals too.
Hmm eating cooked food is unatural, watch out, eating cooked food may be a sin!
I have no fear of going to hell for being gay because I am not.
However, there are plenty of things god directed not to be done that has.
Adam and Eve remember them? I don't remember which one I think it was eve, grabbed the apple that was forbiddin to do.
I just see it foolish to think that someone that could be saint like would go to hell because of who they have sex with.
And oh lets not forget something very important.
The Bible was not wrote by God, lets assume I was writing the bible, I saw guys having sex, I severaly hate this(Not that I personally care) I can easily say, and the lord said being gay is a sin.
Though not said now everyones afraid, see my point?

In my opinion I think its just a little harder to repent then that.
I mean if I were gay going by repentance, i can wait till 50/60 when I can't have sex anymore then ask for forgiveness and of course I can avoid doing anything, I no longer have a sex drive =/
its too simple

But what if it was the writers who was against it not god? knowing the bible was not wrote by god but ok for shits and grins I will go with you.
But God is also against killing, how many wars have there been? did King David go to hell? I seem to remember him bineg quite religious.
When Eve ate the apple, did got not say do not eat the apple?
Point is, sure its a sin, perhaps it makes god mad, but im sure there are ALOT more things out there that does too.
I mean really, is God going to send you to hell for being gay, even though you give to the poor, you pick up liter, you do everything else in the book right?

It is not that I cannot be reasoned with, it is that you cannot show me decent proof.
if the bible was actually wrote by god himself I would believe every word of it, but alas it is not.
there are many sins in this world, are we seriously going to hell from what we choose to have sex with?
theres alot more to worry about then, will I go to hell because im gay?

Where do I stand? I am not gay, though I do not worry, I doubt I am going to heaven anyway.
It is true that I might not make it to 50-60, however, there are plenty of horrid people that do.
Soddom and Gommarra was not destroyed because of gays, it was destroyed because of alot of things
if you read they were abusers rapers assholes in general, if I remember correctly they do not even know if the angels are male or not.
they just requested that the strangers be brought out so they could have sex with them.
Sodom and gommorra(sp?) was destroyed because I think 25 people maybe it was 30 or so, rightous people could not be found.
but there were many bad things going on in S&G not just gays, so that is actually a bad example.

Homosexuality is not an automatic pass to hell any more than heterosexuality is an automatic pass to heaven. That ain't the way it works, no matter what people tell you. Salvation is by grace alone through faith in Christ. Below is what I posted at this thread:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AppYgfiLu7xfcESEk8Zhvazsy6IX?qid=20061008225619AA2g1Y3
BEING gay is not wrong, but homosexual ACTS are the real issue. But let's not let heterosexuals off the hook here--the Bible has a lot to say about sexual morality that applies very much to heterosexuals as well--I think there's a lot that's not being said about chastity outside of marriage, but there are a lot of heterosexual Christians who justify their "extracurricular" behavior on the grounds that God will forgive them. But it totally misses the point. The questions I pose to both heterosexuals and homosexuals are, "Whose will are you seeking? And who are you trying to please, yourself or God?" I've come to the conclusion that God calls homosexuals to live a life of chastity, focused on Him--but God also never intended for every heterosexual to get married or have sex, either. God calls some heterosexuals to be celibate and to focus on deepening their relationship with Him instead of with a marriage partner. What matters isn't what we want, but what God wants for us.

I don't assume, it's just a fact. I never presume to judge the salvation of an individual. Whether a person goes to heaven or hell is only for God to say. However, with that said, read your scripture..Old and New Testament both teach against it. And because there are other sins as bad or worse...or there are other people sinning too, does not negate sins that you may commit. What the other person does has no bearing on your eternity.
After taking the time to read everything you have written I can see that you are one that cannot be reasoned with and are as blind and deaf as anyone I have ever come across. You think you are using logic to make your points but instead it sounds like the rantings of a crazy person.

We have reached a point in our culture where we are questioning everything. I see people are wanting no limitations at all-nothing is wrong and nothing is right. Just live and let live they say. Where do you draw the line between who should be able to get married, have sex, etc. then? And why at the place you chose? How long will it be before society says you are violating someone's rights by limiting them to goats or whatever?
I think things have gone far enough. I have heard homosexuals claim that their version of sex is "natural". Maybe you think that it is natural for one guy to poke another in the rear. Personally, I don't. I do not feel that is why nature made our bodies the way they are. In light of that, I see that the bible is in agreement with my view of how nature designed us and I conclude that it is wrong-at least for me. As for a homosexual, I will judge them by my own opinion because I am entitled to. However that is as far as I go; I have neither the right nor the desire to interfere with another's life.
Homosexuals say and do a lot of offensive things too. I have seen several instances where they claim everyone harbors homosexual thoughts. I have seen them assert that the more one claims to not like homosexuality, the more they are actually repressing it. Following that logic I suppose I secretly desire to eat feces too if I deny wanting to.

Alright.. here goes nothing.. God calls all humans to try to live a life without sin.. no human can live a life without sin, so God gave his son, Jesus Christ, to cleanse everyone of their sin through the use of forgiveness... When someone sins, they are to ask God for forgiveness and repent (repenting is having a desire to not sin again and putting an effort into not sinning again)... The problem I have with openly homosexuals is that they somehow think that their sin is forgivable without repentence... Everyone has their sins that they have trouble with.. Kleptomaniacs have a need to steal... Other people can't stop lying... but if a kleptomaniac repents and asks for forgiveness, he/she will be forgiven and be given a clean slate because of the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ... Homosexuals have trouble with sexual morality... if they REPENT of their sin and ask for forgiveness.. that is TRY to control their behavior and HAVE A DESIRE to change... then they too will be forgiven by God and will join God in heaven through the sacrifice made by Jesus...

Sins are mainly those that break God's commandments as written in the Bible. People who knew about God but turned from him are usually the ones who God gives over to a depraved mind. Homosexuality is one of those main symptoms of depravity. It is not always permanent since there are some who used to be homosexual but repented and received God's forgiveness.

a kid not taking out the trash is laziness not sin. Being gay varies, i mean someone could be gay but they may be young and may not know what's right and wrong and therefore they don't know that it isn't right being gay, and God will take that into account, but there are also gays out there who know that it's wrong and refuse to change there ways therefore are the ones who WILL go to hell, i mean laugh as much as you want but i'm not assuming here they will most definitely go to hell. God made man and woman for man to be attracted to woman and the woman to the man, but same sex relationships and marriages are wrong and God is not pleased with homosexuality.

All this stuff about certain people going to hell... I just don't get it. Not just gays either, but everyone!
My philosophy is that when you die, you go on upstairs and God (or St. Peter, who has a handy pre-made checklist like in all the cartoons) says where you're going. If you've really made the Big Guy angry, you go to hell (*cough*Dahmer*cough*); if you've lived a good life, have been a good person to others, etc, you go to heaven. I'd like to think that most people are going to heaven, that God has changed a long with the world He created.
*shrug* That's just me though...

Many of the artists that I grew up a fan of are gay. Samantha Fox, for example, is a fashion icon and a smart business woman. Ironically, she is a lesbian and this doesn't bother me. Because of the sex icon image that was foisted upon her after her modelling career ended, she had to hide the truth. Now I have no problem with it and she can live with whoever she wants, that fine, but I don't think people should have to hide it. George Michael was placed in the same position. The funny thing is, Elton John wasn't placed in that position and he criticized Michael for 'lying' about his sexuality.
He wasn't lying. He was in denial and forced to hide it out of a sense of personal shame and confusion along with pressure from the music industry.

If you read the bible (or PatorChad's answer from the bible) you can see that your question has a bit of a flaw to it. God gets to pic whom he will be with and whom he shall not. He gave us a clue tho with Sodom and Gomorrah eh? Now being in the age of Grace...we may REPENT of our sins...but you may not get 50-60 years...if your life is required of you tonight...God gets to decide on you NOW...Unrepentant sinners not claiming the Blood of Jesus...yes they will not see the kingdom of God...which side are you on sir?

This is what the Republicans are quoting from:
Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"
1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."
