if you are female, you'd be pregnant at age 13 or so, often die of childbirth. If you were male, you'd be fighting some king's war. Either way you'd probably be a peasent farmer, all your money would go to taxes, you'd bathe once a year, your teeth would be rotted out, you'd likely be drinking alcohol all day because water was so unsanitary, you'd dump your poo out the window into the street, and sleep with rats and mostly likely never venture outside your city walls, you'd have many diseases and probably die of one thing or another by age 18-20. good times.

If you mean MAEDIUM AEVUM, the term "dark ages" does not work any more. It is a stereotype about the culture and philosopjy of those days! Well, they knew less than we do, however it was not a complete darkness!
