I am having a hard time losing the weight I gained after quitting smoking.
Being old is no fun.
There are two things I have done that really helped me. For about 3 or 4 months I quit eating ALL sweet snacks except for fruit. Those months were as hard as quitting smoking, but now I don't crave sweets as much except for chocolate. I don't think I could live without at least a little bit once and a while.
The second thing to do is find a fun exercise. I absolutely will not run unless I'm being chased by a big guy with a stick or a large dog, but when I put wheels on my feet I'll skate for hours. Roller or ice skating will burn calories and I look forward to going every week. So far I have lost over 40 pounds, but it has taken me about a year.
I know winter will soon be here, but during nice weather bike riding also is a fun exercise. Real bikes beat exercise bikes any time.
Swimming will burn a lot of calories, but it isn't for everybody. I can't swim, but I have seen some people just walking across the pool and back. The extra resistance of the water burns more calories than walking through the air.
I hope this helps.

hey there are numorous ways to lose weights diet and exercise ofcourse being the safest and the best, there however are a few shortcuts that have worked for many people including myself however you need to be very carefull while using these and most importantly know your body well enough to nottice any unusual changes. One of those shortcuts that i have used sucessfully in the past is caffine pills, you can buy these at Wal Mart or any other pharmacy store without a priscription, usually called Stay Awake or NoDoz etc. The way you use these for diet purpose is you take 2 pills (depending on your weight) during the day without eating any breakfast, the caffine for some reason really cuts your appetite while providing you with energy this will make you not want to eat lunch and by the time of dinner you will be hungry but not too hungry and you wont eat a big meal, this has worked for me and i managed to lose about 20 lbs in under 2 weeks however you alternate the days that you take the pills because not eating wont provide you with nutriants you need for your body to operate normally. Hopefully this will work for you however if you have any questions feel free to IM me or send me an email at stud12345678_9@yahoo.com

my advice would be to drink a lotttts of water, and also eat smaller portions throughout the day instead of one or two big meals. Don't drink soda. Everywhere you go somewhere tell the driver (since ur too young to drive) to drop u off or park farther so u can walk more. Walk to closeby errands u have to do or school. Cut down on fast food, dont supersize anything. Don't overindulge in junk food Plus u seem like a good weighjt for a 13 year old so don;t worry too much...But these tips are for being healthy so even a 13 can do ,itll be safe. Get fat free dressings and try not to eat anyting fried or too sugary or salty. When eating out get healthier things restaurants always have sections for healthy eating, and don;t be fooled by the salads even some of those salads have more fat than a burger. Talking about burgers try not to get cheese, bacon, or mayo on ur burgers. Hope this helps = ) No soda ...sodas always a no no. even diet is bad.

Eat an unrefined plant-based diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and with a limited amount of nuts. Use little salt, and very little refined sugar. Eat at regular times. Eat no more often than three times a day (unless you have a disease that requires it), many people can get used to eating two times a day. Make breakfast your main meal, supper should be the smallest meal or left out. Get a vegan cookbook (eg NEWSTART Lifestyle Cookbook from www.weimarmarket.com). It may take a while to adapt your taste to a whole food diet, but it is worth it. Take exercise every day as far as possible, walking is excellent. Don't worry too much about calories and small details. Go plant-based (whole foods), take moderate exercise, trust in God, be happy. May God be your strength and wisdom! Don't give up, there is much hope for you.

Basically you have to take in less calories. 3500 calories is a pound. So you have to either exercise more or eat less. Sorry. There isn't any other way to do it.
At age 13, one easy way is to cut out sodas and candy, etc. One Coke is 150 calories. If you drink water instead, you can lose a pound in 20 days by doing nothing else but substitute one water for coke. Pretty soon it adds up. Substitute apples for sweets. They are sweet and have only about 60 calories. So if you eat an apple instead of a candy bar you can save 90 calories.

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. Your 13.
Stop worrying about weight, anyways your not fat, your supposed to be about 100 when your 13. Stop watching examples like Paris Hilton, Nichole Richie, Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff.
Eat whatever you want. Need I remind you your only 13? As long as you stay active only because it's good for you. Not because you need to lose weight.
Seriously, kids weren't this dimwitted when I was growing up..

You are too young to be dieting and excercising if you were over two hundred yes that is too much. You are only thirteen you don't need to loose weight being only thirteen your body still has it's baby fat and will probably melt a little after you've matured. Please don't let anyone tell you that you are fat and esspscially at 100 pounds that sounds like what you should be.

It depends on how tall you are. You need to check your weight in comparison to your height. Then you if you are still over weight you probably will just need to cut back and sugary foods and snacks. Because you are young and still growing you need to make sure you get a good supply of nutrients. You want to be able to grow as tall as you possibly get!
