I think, if a believer des not get the chance to do it, it is not considered a sin. There is the example of the theft who believed in Jesus while he was on his cross next to Jesus'. Of course, that man couldn't possibly tell the soldiers to un-nail him to get baptized.
Now for a new believer, it sometimes takes a while in order to understand the meaning and importance of baptism, but the spirit of God teaches him all he needs to know if he truly wants to do God's will.
But.... if a Christian wilfully refuses to do what is clearly written in the scriptures (and it is not just the baptism), then he shows indifference and disobedience to God Himself.
I don't think Jesus Christ was gabbling when He said, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;"(Mark 16:16a).
God bless!

Baptism is an outward expression of your life as a Christian...
Is it a sin to postpone no, you will know when the time is right.
Jesus was not baptized until he was in his 30's.....
Let the Holy Spirit be your guide, not finger pointing, opinionated people.
These are people who are religious, using God's word against you and church practices as ways to reach Christ. You need to have a relationship with Christ and he will lead you where you need to go.
Religion is mans vain attempt to reach God
Relationship is allowing God reaching out to us however He deems appropriate....
Blessings to you.....

The act of Baptism is a works and though it is a way for the believer to express their faith, it is not what saves the person.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
If a professed believer is not keen on "shouting to the world" what Jesus has done for them, through the act of Baptism, I would really wonder if they have truly surrendered their all to Jesus.
After all, baptism is the first thing Jesus has asked the new believer to do. I can't imagine not wanting to do it.
Then again, maybe they are deathly afraid of water?

It is not a sin to "refuse/put-off/not-want Baptism." However, if one is not baptised, they are not a Christian.

I don't think it is a "sin" but it is looked down in some religions if a member is not baptized. In catholicism, if you are not baptized, then you are held accountable for Adams sins after Eden. I guess my question is, why wouldn't you want to be baptized??? I guess if anything, it's mostly symbolic, but it's really up to you... if you do not think that God is going to hold you accountable for not wanting/putting off baptism, then don't do it...

It is not a sin, but baptism is a person's public symbol of their "informed" dedication to God and Christ. Being informed, means you have taken the time to learn what it means to serve them, and that you haven't just learned Bible Stories or the sum total, rather than the total, of Biblical knowledge.

I don't think so. I think those that practise Adult Baptism expect the participants to WILLFULLY want to do it.
The "sin" part comes if you die unbatpized, according to some belief systems.
Hence, most Christians religioins baptize just after birth. It's sort of an "insurance" policy.
