Yes they do. Vodka has no sugar in it, but alcohol by itself has calories. They're "empty" calories so there's no nutritional value, but it can contribute to weight gain.

Although spirits don't have any protein or fat, some (like rum) contain sugars, but most of the calories come from alcohol.

Carbs = 4 calories per gram
Protein = 4 calories per gram
Fat = 9 calories per gram
Alcohol = 7 calories per gram

Vodka, Whiskey, Light Rum, Teguila, Gin don't contain sugar (at least not major brands). However their calorie content depends on % alcohol the have since alcohol has approximately the same calorie value as sugar (chemically only one element different).

So the formula is: X % times 5000 Kcal times volume in litres.

Yes indeed, possibly more than you think. Please see the Smirnoff source below, but they quote a 1oz measure of blue label as containins 69kcal.

There is also a second source page with a list of calories in vodkas. I hope this helps, but the answer is certainly, 'yes'.

All booze has calories. Better be careful if you are worried 'bout that.
The lightest load comes from good quality Tequila, believe it or not, fewer cals per shot!
