If it is permanent dye you can't take it off. The best thing to do is to dye it back to your natural color and wait until all of your natural color comes back.
If it is a semi-permanent dye it will wash out in 6 to 8 weeks.

Dont what ever you do colour over it. because it could go awfully wrong and change a completely different colour. Its happened to me once. because I'm a natural brunet and i dyed me hair blonde, then i thought i didnt want this color but it was a permentant dye so i would have to wait for it to grow out. so i decided to go out and buy another hair dye but dark red this time. this is were the mistake was i put the dye on waited and waited then when i rinsed it off i noticed it was rather bright while it was still wet. so i ran to my bedroom got my hairdryer drying as quick as possible and to my horror i wasn't brunet, i wasn't blonde, and i wasn't red either. i was a bright bright orange. so i decided to go to the hair dressers in the end and i ask them to remove the colour from my hair. now from that experience the nearest i go to dying my hair is highlights in either a chestnut or a copper.

Use a Colour Remover (Try the brand MYHD)
Go to your local pharmacy and ask if they have any hair colour removers like MYHD. These products can restore your hair to it's natural colour in just 20 minutes. Another alternative is to dye it back to your natural hair colour or as similar as you can get it. When it starts to grow back it's unlikely you'll be able to see the roots then because they won't contrast.
I hope that was helpful to you!

You have to get some saran wrap and vinegar. Completely soak your hair and wrap it with the saran wrap. Then put a towel over it to keep it from getting to cold. Rinse it out after an hour and a half and then email me and I will tell you what to do next.

Shave it off and start over. You might like the new look so much that you won't want to grow it back!

you don't take it off... you die it very close to your natural color. Don't worry, if you choose right, you wont see roots.
