Do you really think that Jesus would approve of such behavior?

It is only in recent years that some christians have tolerated masturbation. For almost 2000 years it was known to be wrong. The Bible has not changed in all that time. The only thing that has changed is the culture we live in. It is the culture that we live in that tells us that it is ok, not the Bible.

I have the right to ask about whatever I want! If I want to ask 500 questions about masturbation then that is my right.

Although your questions is addressed to Christians, please allow me to answer as a Muslim.

In Islam there are degrees between haram and halal, like 'hated', 'not recommended' for example.

Masturbation is in the 'hated - not recommended' level. It is not absolutely haram, or absolutely halal (ok). This position is on the basis that it happens to prevent a greater sin to happen. Meaning if I masturbate to fulfil a desire that otherwise would be fulfilled through adultry, then do it. But the best is to strive and struggle not to do either.

I would imagine instead of doing it with the idea of I am doing it instead of sleeping with some one, when I want to do it, remember that Allah is watching me. Do I want Allah to see me doing this, not to mention people? Will my Prophet be proud of me when he knows I am doing this?

Of course there is a huge burden of guilt you carry because of it and it happens in secrecy because, by instinct, you feel it is shameful. But at the end of the day, we are only human and we do not win all our battles.

it is nevertheless a sin. Masturbation is a disordered sexual act which (no count the form you attempt and justify it) demands one to lust after somebody else. on the grounds that there is not any sharing of sexual excitement between spouses, the excitement derived from masturbation is intrinsically lustful. A not-so-uncomplicated term for masturbation is introversion. And against the extroverted excitement a married couple share with one yet another while starting to be one flesh, somebody masturbating is likewise committing the sin of greed. So 2 deadly sins for the cost of one, this is, masturbation is an act steeped in the two lust and greed.

Why all these questions about masturbation? Have you ever triedit...maybe you should it's fun! Masturbation is a natural thing. And I would like to know where in the bible does it imply that it's wrong. Also do you think god would want you to go and have premarital sex instead to relieve your sexual tension?

According to the Bible no.

Especially since Jesus was opposed to both Fornication and Divorce.

Chistians, however, liberalize a lot of things. Are they right?

Should Women NOT speak in Church!

Should fornicators be stoned at the gates of the city!

Are homosexuals vile.

According to Paul, you're not supposed to even sit with or talk with a fornicator.

Masturbation is NOT OK in religious term. I do not know any religion which allows masturbation as religion teaches discipline, control over the body and emotions. Religion is a guide, an art of living which teaches one to be responsible, independant and strong, emotionally and in life. It teaches abstinence, self control and keep yourself clean of dirty thoughts, and to be loyal to ur partner and to God's commandments.

You are wearing me out with this masturbation thing, give it a rest. If you can't stop thinking about Jesus long enough to get off, then become a nun already.

What's with you and masturbation? It almost seems like you are asking permission to do it. it doesn't hurt anyone, and it gives a little pleasure, as long as you don't do it all the time. I think you need to grow up a bit and loosen those corset ties.

i think because they think if it avoids a person from sinning then it's ok. something like if you have to choose between two bad choices, then choose the less worse. i don't know if Jesus has approved it or not, really.

no matsurbation isn't ok, because with masturbation sprits of homosexuality are arising as its a man having sex with a man (himself) or a female having sex with a female (herself) and homosexuality is not approved apon by god.. so therefore masturbation is a sin, but the worldy people act as if masturbation is nothing therefore getting the christians confused.. :)

Just because you have a right doesn't mean that you should exploit it. Sin is sin is sin, whether it's masturbation or any other form of sin; it's all the same in God's eyes.
