Most expensive doesn't always mean best. A few years ago I tasted both Bollinger and Moet champagne and though they were ok they were not to my taste.[£40-£60 a bottle too!] . I have discovered many sparkling wines since that I think are wonderful and all in the £5-£10 bracket.
As I say it is personal but I will list my favourites:-
Red:-
To drink :- Banrox station sparkling Shiraz.[Yes a sparkling red served chilled, Beautiful]
With a meal:- Ernest ad Julio Gallo Turning Leaf Zinfandel. £6 - £10
White :- To drink...Frascati. lovely chilled
With food[especially seafood] Chablis ,marvelous....
You can pay a lot for the premier cru but try the controlees first at £5-10£ a bottle .You will be pleasantly surprised.[It also leaves you more money to spend on the oysters...lol]
Cheers!!!!!!

best wine is the wine with good aroma & a fine boquet of taste which remains in mouth when you consume it & a good wine is defined on the basis of the colour & texture of wine. the most expensive brand is chateau petrus from france which is prepared from merlot grapes
To start, it depends on how much you are willing to spend. Do you have a price range?
If you want a quality vintage I wouldn't even waste my time unless you are willing to spend at least $125 - $150 per bottle.

You are mixed up.
You want the best taste and most expensive. They are not the same wine.
Drink wine that you like. If you are beggining wino, try slightly sweet wine. You will find it to be tastier.
Later try more expensive dry wine.
It takes time to aquire taste for such things.
Be patient. It will come.
I don't know what wine is avalable in Thailand. Ask a local expert.
