I say chick all the time and see nothing wrong with it. I've seen girls in the club wearing cute clothes and I always tell my best friend "That chick has the cutest boots. I wonder where she got 'em." For all I know, it could mean something bad but until I find that out, it's an ok word to use.

I don't think its a degrading word. Think of it this way: boy, guy, man; girl, chick, woman. It just always seemed natural to me. There's this nice little awkward time when you stop being a girl, but your not counted as/don't feel comfortable being called a woman. Most people would argue, I suppose, that you can be called a lady, but that always seemed like a word you use when your all dressed up pretty and at a party or something your grandmother calls you. *shrug*

Usually when you are talking about someone you call them a chick, but thats guys, girls, not sure what they call other chicks...

not really degrading.. i find it quite a sexy term to describe a female. We live in the 21st century... we should be a little bit more relaxed on our attitudes, but Im sure not to go overboard.

Chick..... I use that word all the time. I'm not offended by it. now words like "b i t c h" and "W h o r e" now those are words to be offended by. I find that most women are too uptight about stupid things.....like the word chick for example.

We men are a LOT (and I mean a LOT) more thick skinned than you women are when it comes to being on the recieving end of verbal assault, so the problem is that we don't understand why you have to get offended by every little thing that people say to you.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with saying chick when referring to a female, a FOUR letter C word reserves that crown.
Seriously though, dude is fine... chick is it's equal... what's the problem?

i guess if you would rather be called a ***** or a missus then no but i dont think being called a chick should go as far as degrading but it certainly is annoying!

It is strange when a girl says chick about another girl but it isn't degrading or strange for a guy to call agirl chick.

I think chick is just about as degrading as honey, baby, sweetie, bonnie, and love... in otherwords, not at all.
