The flight from the Philippines to San Franciso, i think that was 16 hours! What did i do? I bought new magazines before my flight and read it . They turned off the light after 2 hours. You have no choice but to sleep.
We left the Phil at 10pm ! arrived sanfo at 6pm.

The longest flight I've been on was probably only actually about 5 hours. I usually spend much more time than that at the airports. It's not unusual for me to have to change flights several times with a *scheduled* wait of up to 8 hours. I live in Alaska and I try to visit family and friends in many places. I don't have much money so I will take a full day to get where I'm going rather than pay an extra $200 and not be guaranteed to make my connections anyway. I read a lot and always take 2 puzzle magazines with me. One with very challenging stuff to challenge my mind. The other is word searches or other mindless stuff that is like solitaire with a pen.

13 hours from Hong Kong to Vancouver. On the way to, we were in Coach and we (my husband and I) were really struggling. We couldn't sleep properly, the food was mediocre, the movies were the only redeeming points.
On the way back my husband upgraded us to business class (Cathay Pacific). What a difference! We got some much needed rest and had a MUCH more enjoyable experience. Passed time by reading a novel I'd bought at the airport, writing letters/filling in pages of my travel journal, and watching movies in flight.

Nine Hours on British Airways Business Class.
There was a very sick man next to me and the seat/bed was very uncomfortable.
The flight was from Heathrow to Seattle in 2003. When I got home, I was sick.
I'll never do it again.
