yes, Thats how you slit your wrists open when you commit suicide. I wouldn't recommend it.

Some folks, believe it or not, do this as a habit. The estimate is about 1% of the population has done it. It is called "cutting" or "self injury (SI)". I have no idea if you'd die from it. It would seem that, considering that it's on or near the wrist, you could bleed to death. If you are doing it to yourself for any reason (attempted suicide or SI), contact a therapist. If you can't afford it, call your local Mental Health Association. Maybe they can refer you to someone. There are ways to deal with the stresses of life and enjoy being you. No, you'd only die if you cut a vein. Normal bleeding on cuts this size will soon stop. But if you cut a vein, the blood will pump out in big squirts with every beat of your heart.
But if you were to get an infection in any cut, and it's left long enough, that could lead to death.

I don't click on links,, to freaky for me, but either way, based on your responder's answers,, sheesh no.. I love life,, it's hard enough living it,, to be burdened with CONTEMPLATION of ending it,, sheesh,, how sad... I like having fun,, so I'm having fun getting 2 points,, hay,, cheer up,, and quite exposing others to morbid junk online,, that's kinda creepy, ya know,, why you have to bring us down? Nothing and I mean nothing is worth any crazy thoughts! Screw everyone else, and live free. I wish you so much happiness, just think about the fact that someone responded to your question, and doesn't think it's what you're all about,, at least I don't.. cheer up mate.. too many other things are much worse!

you could...
you have an major artery that runs through your wrist (called the radial artery) that delivers oxygen rich blood to your arm and hand. if you cut this artery-you could bleed out within minutes or go into severe shock.
if this is something you or someone you know has done to yourself-i would advise calling 911.
and whether you die or not depends on WHERE you cut yourself. like i said before-if you cut in an area where there is an artery-you'll bleed to death or go into shock within minutes.

No major arteries were cut, so you wouldn't die on the spot. If it got infected, however, gangrene could be an unpleasant way to die

o, boy, that was gross. no u can't die from these unless u make ypurself a warm bath and soak in it with your veins cut - it prevents blood from clogging.
