My dog is used to letting me dress him for photo sessions . He complies because he knows it will be over when I put the camera down . I don't think they would go along with with a costume for too long . Did you ever notice when the groomer puts a scarf or a ribbon on them , how they hate it ?

if you want to put the custome on simply to take a picture do it when your dog is really tired, she will be less likely to resist. but if you want your dog to wear it all night and she doesn't like to wear 'clothes' try finding a dog costome that touches your dog's skin the least. Walmart has cute ones or target maybe. if she doesn't want to though, don't force her- i am sure she is cute enough without the costume

Does your dog really want to wear a costume? I'm guessing that if you are having a hard time getting him to wear one, then he doesn't really want to. Imagine what it would be like if someone was trying to get you to wear something you didn't want to.
As pet owners, we can sometimes go too far with anthropomorphizing our furry friends. They are animals, not people!

Try putting it on him now so when haloween comes your dog will be used to the costume.

You don't. That is animal abuse! Just kidding....I bought my kitties a new outfit last week. They hated it. Old navy has a section of dog clothes and I found that the XS works for cats too. It makes for excellent pictures to fwd to friends and family......have fun!

no need for a costume, just take him out for a walk

Why don't you walk around on all fours for a day, maybe then your dog will appreciate your desire to make him just like you.

Super glue may cause the fur to matt up, I think staples are better.
