My wife gave me a coach wallet years ago and it has such sentimental value to me that even though it's falling apart, I won't replace it. Any gift can be romantic depending on the feeling and sentiment behind it.

The wallet is a great idea. A man would really enjoy something that he can use everyday. Just like a lot of others said also put a pic of yourself or both of you together. That will be the romantic part of the gift.

what does he like? does he like gadgets, games, what? wallet only??? how is a wallet romantic? there's nothing wrong with it but i don't consider it romantic. you want a romantic gift, buy him a nice watch (skip the cheap ones), or get him his favorite cologne and a watch. now that's romantic. if he's buying you all that stuff, a wallet is all you could afford? you're being cheap, aren't u? i'd be insulted if i was a guy seriously. if it's only a wallet u're gonna give him, you might want to skip the gift giving altogether.

Something more personal would be a chain that he can wear but if he likes the wallet and will use it then it will have the same effect as he will be able to think of you when he opens it you could always put in a pic of yourself before you give it to him.

It looks like a good thing to get for him. Plus, he likes the wallet, right? I don't think it's rude at all. It's always nice when you get something for your gf or bf even it's small or cheap.
Remember, it's the thought that counts!

If he likes the wallet and you want to get it for him then by all means get it. If I see something I know I have seen my significant other looking at or says she likes if I have the money I get it. If I see something that makes me think of her then I get it. It doesn't have to be a romantic item just something you know he would like or would want.

2 things you never buy a guy:

1. shoes, they use them to walk out on you
and
2. a watch, means your time is running out

the wallet is OK...
